Country redirections setup

HighWayPro allows you to set a target URL based on the country the user accessing your URL is located. This is done by setting a condition of the type Country on a per-destination basis.

For example, let’s say you want to redirect all users from the United States to bestbuy.com and everyone else to amazon.com, you’d need to have a URL with 2 destinations:

HighWayPro makes it very simple to create something like the example above. To replicate it, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new URL without destinations. You can read more about creating URLs here.
  2. Add a new destination
  3. Click on Condition – none, this will show a list of all available conditions.
  4. Select Country, click on Allowed Countries and select United States. You can select as many countries as you need. Click anywhere to close the countries menu and then click OK.
  5. Next Click on Target – None and select Direct Target. Enter a URL (in this case: https://bestbuy.com) and click OK. Your HighWayPro URL will now redirect all users from the US to bestbuy.com, and everyone else will see a 404 (not found) error. To set a default URL for users from anywhere else:
  6. Add another destination by clicking on New Destination.
  7. This time do not add a Country condition. You only need to set a target. To do so, click on Target – none, select Direct Target, enter a URL (in this case: https://amazon.com) and click OK.
